Embark on an unforgettable south coast adventure! At 8:00 AM, we’ll pick you up from Canberra and begin our journey to the coast. Today’s drive takes us on a scenic three and a half hours route to Narooma. Along the way, we’ll stop toDay explore Monga National Park and enjoy a relaxing lunch at Mogo.
We’ll arrive at Narooma in the afternoon, where we will the coast looking for coastal birds, as well as visiting a local fur seal colony
As the sun sets, we’ll check into our hotel, eat dinner and then head out into the rainforest to look for owl, possums and gliders.
Today, we drive up to Jervis Bay. We will arrive in Jervis Bay in the mid-morning and we will explore the famous Booderee National Park, including Booderee Botanic Gardens and its gorgeous beaches in search of incredible wildlife including Glossy Black Cockatoos, Sea-eagles, Oystercatchers and more.
In the afternoon we will check into the hotel and will have dinner at one of Jervis Bay’s popular pubs.
After breakfast, we will head out of a cruise in search of Humpback Whales (May-November), or bottlenose dolphins (all year round). After lunch you will have the afternoon to yourself to explore Jervis Bay or to just relax.
Todays adventure starts we a rainforest walk in search of New South Wales only endemic bird, Rock Warbler. We will also look out for other birds including Lyrebird, Brown-cuckoo Dove, Rose Robin, Monarchs and more.
We will then head to Kangaroo Valley and in the afternoon we will explore Kangaroo river in search of Azure Kingfisher. In the late afternoon we will head to a unique part of Kangaroo Valley to see Wombats, Kangaroos and Wallabies.
After breakfast, we will head to Fitroy Falls. It’s a great spot to look for the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo and Superb Lyrebird. We will then head to the historic town, Berrima where we will look the unique Platypus. After lunch we will head back to Canberra to drop you off at your chosen location.
